New Single Passes for state interregional buses
Royal Decree-law 17/2025 establishes a new public transport promotion system based on the Single Pass.
This interoperable pass replaces traditional systems and will be marketed by concessionaires including Renfe.
The Secretary of State establishes commercialization, use, validity and expiration conditions.
How to benefit?
- There are two Single Pass modalities:
- General Single Pass: €60/month (VAT included), valid for 30 days
- Single Pass for youth and children: €30/month (VAT included), valid for 30 days (born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2026).
- You need to obtain a personal code that proves eligibility.
- Remember you can also use this pass on:
- Road public transport concessions
- Renfe passenger services
- Cercanías and Rodalies
- Certain AVANT services:
- Ourense – A Coruña
- Madrid – Salamanca
- Alicante – Murcia
- Barcelona – Tortosa (except Barcelona–Tarragona)
- Purchase and key dates
- Commercialization: From January 12
- Start of use: From January 19, inclusive
- At purchase, the user can select the start date within 30 days from acquisition.
Youth and Children Pass (With code)
- The Single Pass for youth and children is a nominative pass for unlimited travel for 30 days at a reduced price of €30 (VAT included).
- Beneficiaries are those born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2026 with legal residence in Spain and valid ID.
- To acquire this pass you must have a personal registration code provided by the Ministry to prove eligibility.
- To obtain the code register on the Ministry's platform and identify using electronic DNI, digital certificate, Cl@ve or alternative procedures. The code will be sent by email or phone.
- Registration must be completed at least 24 hours before issuing the first pass.

Passes are obtained through the website and the app. Some require a ministry registration code.
Young people born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2026 with legal residence in Spain can access the youth pass after registration. Children may access the free child pass after registration.
The Single Pass includes state interregional road transport and Renfe Cercanías, Rodalies and Medium Distance services including certain AVANT routes.
The Single Pass is valid for 30 days from activation across included services.
Young people (15-26) need a code to purchase certain passes. Others do not.
The start date will be selected by the traveler at the time of purchase within 30 days of acquisition.
You may purchase more than one Single Pass, but validity periods cannot overlap.

Youth born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2026 and children born between Jan 1, 2000 and Dec 31, 2026 with legal residence in Spain.
The registration can be consulted on the Ministry's website.
Operators must verify identity with official documents: DNI, NIE, driving license or passport.
Family discounts apply over the resulting price after other applicable discounts. Other promotions depend on the operator's policy.
We recommend using Cl@ve for registration. When authenticating with Cl@ve only the ID/NIE + support number is relevant.
